15 weeks on this Thanksgiving holiday weekend and there's so much to be thankful for. For expanding bellies (from too much turkey and babies growing), for good friends and family, for our super surrogate "M" who is breezing through the beginning of this second trimester like a champ, for my wonderful partner Bill, and as always, for our health.
By Christmas we'll hopefully have a scan that will reveal the gender of our little guy/girl. Currently we have that scheduled for December 22nd and then we'll open the "envelope" on Christmas Day. "M" is already planning how to creatively do this with our friends who will be visiting for the holidays. Exciting!!!
If I don't get any gifts this year I'll be happy. The gift of a healthy pregnancy resulting in a healthy baby is all we need!
:-)

ReplyDelete"What a great Christmas gift! Here is to an uneventful pregnancy and healthy happy thoughts."
A big Christmas indeed! Boy or girl, a lucky child with daddies that worked so hard to bring him/her into the world.
ReplyDeleteKeep smiling!

ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas, indeed!!
What an awesome Christmas present! I am so happy for both of you. I feel exactly opposite of Jeni, I'm envisioning lots and lots of pink! Although I'm sure whatever way it goes you will both be elated.
ReplyDeleteWe have friends who used a cake to learn and share their boy or girl news. They had the doctor give a sealed envelope which they gave to the bakery who prepared a cake with blue or pink filling.
ReplyDeleteThe cake was cut into after dinner when everyone discovered they were having a boy! Great fun!
Can't wait to hear how you guys find out.
I'm going to guess boy for you (...although girl would be my 2nd choice!)
Yes this will be the best present ever...do tell us how you find out, can't wait!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous time of the year all round! We are so so excited for you guys, and the time will surely fly by so enjoy every moment!!!! 22nd December is my birthday, so I am going to say that you will be having a boy (although I think it's fairly safe to say that girls have been known to have been born on the 22nd December too so girls is my second choice too :)
