Second Attempt...

Today is Discoverers Day (Columbus Day outside of Hawaii) and I couldn't help but ponder the title of our blog -- Looking for Baby.

Looking?...Discoverers?...hmmm. Call me superstitious but I'm working every angle here. I may have to change the title to Discovering Baby!

I know, I'm strange. I think this surrogacy thing is making me crazy.

So celebration of Discovers Day and continuing the quest as we look for this baby, we are officially fired up for our second attempt! Which happens to be this week. Today we found out that our surrogate is ready for embryo transfer so most likely a pregnancy test will be at the end of the month. Let's hope these embies persevere like Christopher Columbus and thaw like champions and discover the new world of a nice, warm, fluffy uterine wall!

Let's make some babies!!!!!!

  1. Here's hoping for perseverance and stickiness a plentyfor the two of you in the coming weeks!

  2. It's a crazy journey ... even if surrogacy and IVF were not involved, making babies is not that easy.

    Let's GO!

Wishing you at least one bubble.

    Fluffy walls to you!!!

  3. Wishing all the best to you with this attempt!

  4. The great thing about discovery is you just never really know where it’ll lead you….in 1492 Columbus arrived in the ‘new’ world…which was already inhabited…so ‘new’ to him I guess….In the end, he thought he was in Asia but was actually in the Bahamas….and now we get a 3-day weekend out of it! :-)

The parallel is that having a baby is India is a new world for each of us who proceed… even if the destination has already been achieved by many who preceded us….

I try to remember that the most important part of discovery is not necessarily the destination…it’s the journey!

Best of everything as you take this step.
